SING & PLAY

Description
 

Develop music reading and writing skills through singing, games, music theory, and music listening. Your child will gain a repertoire of songs which will be the vehicle for learning musical phrasing, rhythm, and melody to help prepare them for future music studies. This is the perfect course to start your child’s music education! Based on the Kodály concept. This course may be taken in conjunction with private instrument or voice lessons but is also suitable for students with no previous music experience. Lessons are 50 minutes and take place once a week.

Explore and engage with the beauty of classical music through movement. Every lesson incorporates free movement and improvisation to children’s songs alongside the great orchestra works of the classical era. Whether your child is introverted or extroverted, this class will help them express themselves through music and non-verbal communication. Inspired by the Hungarian music educator and psychologist, Klára Kokas. This course may be taken in conjunction with private instrument or voice lessons but is also suitable for students with no previous music experience. Lessons are 50 minutes and take place once a week.
